Personal taste for sugar content can be hard to please everyone – What chocolate and lemon curd did you use? I find they can vary brand to brand – so that may have contributed. x

It may have been piped too low into the muffins, or too much? Some cases naturally do become more greasy than others annoyingly x

It’s too much sugar. Most of the muffin recipes I use contain far less and taste much better for it. I have a sweet tooth, but these are cloyingly sweet. I will try them again reducing the sugar in the batter by 1/4 and leaving out the white choc chips.
