In the UK the tins are still 397g grams, so that’s what you need in total or you can reduce everything else to match.

Unfortunately, Condensed Milk tins now hold only 300 grams. I’m not certain how much of the chocolate oranges to add. Have you, by chance, red one this recipe to incorporate this change?
Thank you.

Absolutely loved this recipe. First time making fudge, worked so well. Made a Baileys one from another site which was a disaster so I was very chuffed one of them worked. I used 300g milk chocolate and 300g desk chocolate (Ms Mollys Tesco) and orange extract. Topped with chocolate sprinkles and mini Terry’s chocolate orange pieces.

And can you cut up the fudge into pieces straight after removing it from the tin (before the final 2 hours of setting)?

Same recipe just changed the choc orange for choc mint. Wow… it vanished in the staff room!

Hiya! Try the other method by melting both together – though if it sets fine then there’s no issues! Hope this helps! x

First time I’ve made fudge today but had one question. I melted the chocolate orange pieces in the microwave then mixed in the condensed milk. Within a few seconds the mixture suddenly went really thick! Is this normal? I had real trouble spreading it into the tin as it was like cement. Any ideas what happened? X

Hiya! Unfortunately evaporate milk will never work for fudge, it has to be condensed. Hope this helps! x

Hiya! Did you use the correct condensed milk? This sounds like you possibly used the light version or evaporated x

My fudge won’t set! I’ve tried freezing it and as soon as I took it out it went runny. Where did I go wrong?!
